A GROUP OF SACRAMENTO KINGS FANS HAS STARTED A GOFUNDME CAMPAIGN IN ORDER TO FUND A BILLBOARD CALLING FOR VIVEK RANADIVE TO STEP DOWN.

If the Sacramento Kings were to miss the playoffs this season, it would mark the 14th straight season, the second longest playoff appearance drought in NBA history and within one season of tying the longest. In the seven years since Ranadivé bought the team, the Kings have never come close to making the playoffs. With dysfunction and mismanagement still the norm behind the walls of Gold 1 Center, Kings fans see no end to the playoff drought in sight.
Enough is enough.

When Enough is Enough: Sacramento Kings Fans Start Grassroots Action directed at team
leadership.
-- A group of Sacramento Kings fans have started a GoFundMe campaign in order to fund a billboard message calling for Vivek Ranadivé to step down.--

Sacramento, Calif., Feb. 11, 2020 --- In the midst of another disappointing season, Sacramento Kings fans are growing impatient. In response, a group of fans decided to take action. Under the name #HereWeBillboard, the fans started a GoFundMe campaign to fund a billboard calling the Sacramento Kings owner to task.

In a league where more than half of all teams make the playoffs and teams rarely spend more than a few
seasons without an appearance in the post-season, the Kings are currently outside the playoff picture
once again. If the team were to miss the playoffs this season, it would mark the 14th straight season, the
second longest playoff appearance drought in NBA history and within one season of tying the longest. In
the seven years since Ranadivé bought the team, the Kings have never come close to making the
playoffs. With dysfunction and mismanagement still the norm behind the walls of Golden 1 Center, Kingsfans see no end to the playoff drought in sight. Enough is enough.

Viewed as one of the most loyal and supportive fanbases in the NBA, many Kings fans are losing heart
and have been venting their frustration towards players, coaches, General Manager Vlade Divac and
Ranadivé.

As a result, a group of fans decided to set aside the frustration, fight the apathy, and harness their passion for the team to take action. They have organized as #HereWeBillboard and started a GoFundMecampaign to fund a billboard (see pics).

The billboard will run in the week from March 8th to 14th, a week that the only nationally televised Kings
game will air.

#HereWeBillboard hopes that this action will prompt others to join the cause and help forge a change in
ownership as a first step toward bringing the Sacramento Kings back to respectability.

#HereWeBillboard
